To manage and support the programme of LB Lambeth’s New Homes Bonus High Streets programme, working with 5 Business Improvement Districts across the borough.
Building on The Means’ close relationships with BIDs, we were asked to programme manage and support 5 BIDs in the London Borough of Lambeth in delivering projects funded by the Greater London Authority’s top slice of the London Enterprise Panel’s New Homes Bonus (NHB) programme.
Five BIDs in Lambeth, (in Brixton, Clapham, Streatham, Vauxhall, and Waterloo), were granted funding through the New Homes Bonus programme for a series of small-scale projects to deliver public realm improvements for their local area. These included a variety of projects from the development of a Street Manual to scope public realm improvement projects that the BID could deliver through NHB and other funding sources, to improvements to activate green spaces, provide green infrastructure and enliven spaces through public art.
The Means’ role was to support the BIDs in developing delivery plans, support them in delivering projects, and to track and communicate progress to the LB Lambeth NHB Programme Management Team.
This project is currently ongoing and is set for completion in March 2017.
