Swansea BID is a Business Improvement District which was the first BID in Wales and has been in existence since 2006. The organisation delivers leadership, place marketing, place management and operational improvements for businesses/organisations located within its boundaries.

The Means were commissioned in January 2016 by Swansea BID to support the organisation through its second renewal ballot

Timescale: 
January- March 2016
Project Description: 

Director Peter Williams and Project Manager Becky Chantry were engaged by the Chief Executive of Swansea BID to advise the Swansea BID team and the board throughout the renewal ballot process. 

This involved the following tasks:

  • Developing a consultation exercise to gauge levels of awareness and satisfaction of BID levy payers and the services that Swansea BID are delivering
  • Reviewing and refreshing the existing BID arrangements • Reviewing and updating baseline and operating agreements
  • Development of the BID proposal content and design • Establishing a communications strategy for engaging new and existing BID levy payers
  • Facilitating the engagment with Head Office voters during the renewal campaign
  • Meeting legislation milestones

Consequently, Swansea BID achieved a successful result and will continue its work for the next five years.
