Client: Neath Port Talbot Borough Council and Viva Port Talbot BID Board
Timescale: 2018 - present
Project categories: Business Improvement District
Feasibility, campaign, ballot, setup and management of Viva Port Talbot Business Improvement District (BID). Viva Port Talbot BID began operating in April 2020 following a successful ballot in November 2019, in which 78% of ballots cast were in favour of establishing the BID. The means managed the ballot campaign and company setup, and currently manage Viva Port Talbot’s operation two days a week.

In the feasibility stage, four key areas of improvement were identified to form the basis of Viva Port Talbot’s vision: promoting, supporting, creating, securing. BID Projects will be aimed at meeting the following pledges:

  • Attracting people to the town through an events programme
  • Incentivising people to shop locally with a loyalty scheme
  • Encouraging and supporting new business to start trading successfully
  • Strengthening the voice of businesses on matters that affect the town centre
  • Tackling anti-social behavior and increasing town centre safety
  • Creating a more accessible town centre with parking offers
